This publication is a research done by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and ICARDA (International Centre for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas) as a collaborative work. It mainly contains the information about Conservation Agriculture (CA) which has been introduced in Central Asia. The publication will provide the followings: the current situation regarding to CA, challenges in introducing CA, conditions needed to promote CA and so on.
Conservation Agriculture (CA) is close to nature’s way of farming. It not only promotes the productivity, but also helps in keeping soil healthy and nutritious. Due to these advantages, CA can play an important role in agriculture in Central Asia where we have dry lands that lack in bio-organisms.
