PMGEF has been operating in the country for more than 5 years. Whether a lot of work has been done or not is up to everyone to decide. But the work continues, and the basis for the effectiveness of PMGEF is the team working on the Program. The basis of the program is its coordinating committee. In short, it is the PMGEF committee that decides whether or not to approve projects, and what strategic development directions the Program has for the current and future period. The decisions of the Committee determine which projects will be implemented, how they will be implemented, and therefore the results of individual projects and the work of the PMGEF in general. More information about the role of the committee can be found in the "Our Committee" section.
But for convenience, we can say in simple words what the Program Coordinating Committee is doing. Thus, the committee:
1. Considers the accepted project applications and makes the decision on them - approval or rejection of the project. The decision is made by the committee. This is the main task of the commission;
2. Committee members serve as specific “agents” of the PMGEF. People can ask for help in identifying unclear details about the program, and for advice on how to properly formulate project goals and objectives. Of course, for this to happen, the committee members themselves need to know everything about the program, and the new committee will receive appropriate training. But that's not all. The members of the Committee comprehensively promote the conclusions, technologies and results achieved in the Program. In other words, committee members should take the PMGEF work as part of their lives and make every effort to ensure that the work reaches as many people as possible and is included in the district development strategy. , provinces and the state as a whole. And this is the most important!
3. Committee members should be aware of program priorities everywhere and disseminate program information as widely as possible. They must make every effort to make the program a success;
4. Committee members should seek opportunities to engage partners and donors to implement current or planned projects throughout their routine activities.
6. Committee members review the implementation of the entire program.
The main principle of the Committee is its impartiality. The committee is made up entirely of members from other organizations who come together to solve problems together. In order to maintain the principle of impartiality, the GEF requires a change in the composition of the committee every 3 years, a rotation. This does not mean that a member of the committee cannot be re-elected if he or she has already served (you cannot call it a job because the service is not paid). Simply, every three years, a competition is held to replace the members of that committee who have served for three years.
And now the time has come again.
