Contribute to a global discussion about our common future

At the moment, there is an active debate going on around the world about how the world is moving. In fact, humanity has failed to make great strides in stopping environmental degradation:

• The process of biodiversity loss, which is the basis of all life on Earth, is accelerating - they are not even slowing down;

• Population growth continues, with humanity failing to use land resources wisely and contributing more and more to the loss of the fertile soil layer responsible for the planet’s food security through its production processes. in the wind;

• Mankind continues to use hydrocarbon fuels, emitting large amounts of gases into the atmosphere, changing climatic processes, the rate of change of which does not correspond to the rate of adaptation of ecosystems to ongoing changes.

What can we do to change this direction of human development? Is this a development? What are the alternatives? All this is in the focus of the OON system and the entire world community. You can also participate in the discussion of the human development model. What awaits future generations?

On Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm New York time (New York time), the Intergenerational Solidarity Panel will hold an exchange at OON Headquarters. The purpose of the exchange is to bring the views of people from all over the world to the attention of the OON leadership.
