An important session hosted by the GEF Secretariat in Tashkent

Dear friends,

The GEF Secretariat organizes an extended meeting of the GEF Council of the following countries:

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

The meeting will take place on October 11-13, 2011 in Tashkent. Uzbekistan. The GEF Secretariat would like to have an expanded representation of civil society representatives (NGOs, other non-governmental organizations in the field of environmental protection) to receive feedback on the investment program and future cooperation.

The secretariat covers the participation (accommodation and travel expenses) of one representative from each country. Participants who are eligible to pay for themselves will be considered first and their participation in addition to paid representatives will be encouraged.
