Do Tashkent residents need trees?

A small note I want to share. The topic of conversation is directly related to the topic of our work, as we wanted to pay special attention to trees in the new year.

So, on the weekend, they called me to the door and asked me to remove the car - they said it would interfere. When I went out, I saw the following picture:

Guys with ropes and chains are sitting in the trees. And the trees are being cut down. There is an HOA officer for all of this. When I asked why they were crossing, they said the yard needed to be cleaned - everything had grown. Surprisingly, in Uzbekistan, if every bush, every branch, every plant that grows hard is to be valued, we will not hesitate to do our best to bring beauty. The floor was already bare ...

"How do you do that?" After all, in the summer heat of 50 degrees, there will be concrete everywhere. Now at least some shade will block the building. Can you imagine people starting to use twice as much air conditioning. Your wires, which are constantly in trouble, won’t be the first to overcome it. It burns, you will have problems with the population. Not to mention how much electricity is turned on in vain. What about the children? Now mothers with children can walk in the shade .. And does everyone cut everything they walk? and the weather? After all, trees clean the air, collect dust from the city, cars, provide oxygen! I shouted.

"Don't teach me!" There was a smart guy here! I’m a biologist myself - the only HOA employee who found the answer for me.

A healthy hand saw was cut from an adult poplar.

and the hand lies and waits for its destiny - it must be taken to an unknown place

I started calling the State Committee for Nature Protection. Fortunately, they answered and called me, asked .. After my calls, the children immediately flew out of the tree .. Employees of the State Committee for Nature Protection called the mayor's office . Apparently, their employee even came.

I was later called and told that, unfortunately, their actions were legal. The fact is that there are rules for cutting down trees, but not for cutting. That is, potentially, if a tree has 30 branches and people have cut down 28 of them, it is still cutting and there are no legal means to prevent it.

So what happens? In fact, the trees are almost unprotected. Pruning is done by wild methods everywhere.

the big crowned tree was so "cut" .. a small branch remained ..

and young trees are cut like this .. hairstyle "! kalda" ..

Cutting down trees is a wonderful art. It is necessary to learn: when and how to prune .. The health of the tree depends on it .. Anyone who has bought a chain or thought he could lead the pruning to restore order in ugly-growing trees should do so. does. .

Tree cutting

If anyone would like to take the initiative to teach the art or create a simple guide to cutting down trees, we will be happy to discuss opportunities for collaboration and assistance .. Probably necessary. educate people, because even the biologist decided that everything was done correctly ... And the population did not particularly protest .. Everyone should know about the importance of trees, every tree in city life ..

Our 2013 calendar is dedicated to the trees of Uzbekistan. In 2013, we hope to pay more attention to this priceless wealth of our country, to form a sensitive and loving attitude towards all trees and shrubs.
