What does Communities Connect mean?

Communities Connect is a joint initiative of the GEF Civil Society Network and the UNDP GEF Small Grants Program.

The goal of this project is to inspire the community to take concrete actions and facilitate the exchange of local knowledge and innovative experiences, the use of which will have a real positive impact on the life of the community, help the local population adapt to changing natural and climatic conditions, resist the effects of climate change, raise awareness of the importance of conservation local biodiversity, correct and rational use of natural resources, energy, land, sustainable management of their economy, contribute to solving other problems of the community and confront other challenges of the modern world.

Communities Connect is a place where communities can share valuable experiences and learn about effective solutions that have been developed and used by other communities to solve similar problems.

On this platform, you can place all your experience and knowledge that others can use. Your experience is very much needed and important for your neighbors and other communities, who are faced with pressing issues of the daily life of society on a daily basis. We ask you to register on this site: http://data.communitiesconnect.net/en/about and take an active part in sharing experiences for the benefit of your development and helping others.

Registration on the site is not at all complicated and consists of only 3-4 steps. The site is in English, but you can upload your materials prepared in the local language, because The platform was primarily created to help local communities, and in this case it will be easier for them to get acquainted with the materials and understand the essence of the solutions you propose to problems.

Our Program has already started uploading its materials to this platform.
