
On May 10, 2014, as part of a series of events dedicated to the International Day for Biodiversity, an open tour of the Uzbek Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Enology named after Academician M. Mirzayev and the Republican Research and Production Center 'tdi. ornamental horticulture and forestry. Organizers of the event: Small Grants Program Global Environment Facility (PMGEF) with the support of the United Nations Development Program in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the State Committee for Nature Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The tour was open to anyone interested in nature and ecology. There were no age restrictions, so among those gathered were preschoolers, schoolchildren, young people, as well as professionals who have dedicated many years of work to the cultivation, selection, study and preservation of natural monuments.
Participants will not only visit the gardens, drip-irrigated nurseries, walk on shady paths and hear the birds singing, watch the greenhouses, but also on the territory of the Research Institute named after Academician Mirzayev, December 11, 2010. had the opportunity to visit the museum on the day. The second purpose of the tour was the Republican Scientific Production Center of Horticulture and Forestry. In a cozy and cool room, children and adults were explained the relationship between man and nature, the rich flora of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the importance of preserving biodiversity for future generations, especially in the growing period. globalization and industrialization of cities, population growth on the planet, environmental problems and the threat of environmental disasters. In their stories, the experts did not ignore the Aral Sea problem, the problem of landslides and avalanches in mountainous areas, as well as ways to solve these problems, the pros and cons of these methods.
