According to the plan, on February 24, 2014, an open seminar for farmers on the creation of varietal pistachio plantations considered many applications from farmers to create a "growth point" in Tashkent region.
Farmers from Parkent and Bostanlyk districts of Tashkent region were selected by the organizers and partners of the joint project. The team, led by pistachio grower Yevgeny Batman, visited 10 farms in the region for two weeks. Most farmers ’lands are located in the best parts of the county, and almost anyone can be a potential owner of a“ growth point ”. But not everyone has the necessary barriers of land to establish a plantation. And this, practice shows, is the most expensive part of all the work to create a pistachio plantation, if, of course, given that the farmer has the necessary agricultural machinery.

Komiljon Sidikov, a farmer in the village of Soylyk in Bostanlyk district, is familiar with the experience of running a pistachio business in the United States.
After weighing the pros and cons of long decisions, difficult calculations, it was decided to start the construction of the first plantation in the village of Khandalik, Bostanlyk district. As for the first plantation, it should be noted that the project decided to establish a network of plantations from a number of farms included in the "growth point" of the Tashkent region. Tashkent region is large, with many foothills and mountainous areas for pistachio cultivation.
A team of pistachio experts works with all interested farmers in the area and assists other farmers in addition to helping them establish a main growth point. Someone gets help building a fence, someone gets planting material, and so on.
Recently, our chief plantation specialist Yevgeny Botman visited the village of Khandalik to study in detail the area of land allocated by the farmer for planting pistachios and its possibilities. The trains were a success. The farmer expressed great interest and willingness to cooperate. The expert identified a number of tasks and outlined the scope of work to prepare for the establishment of the plantation. Currently, the team of the Republican Research and Production Center for Horticulture and Forestry, headed by farmer Yevgeny Batman, is preparing the ground for the visit of the country's chief pistachio Galina Chernova and her colleagues Lucian Nikolai and Timur Tulaganov. .
In the coming days, the farmer will have to complete the preparations on his farm and let us know that he is ready. Then we will be in touch with all successful farmers and other interested people and inform them about the master class on planting pistachio plantations for farmers in Tashkent.

Simple landscape.
Now our lands, our foothills look like this - livestock, vacant lands, erosion ...
Or they may look like this (photo by Komiljon Sidikov - Sacramento, California, USA "growing point" of pistachio)

Today we can turn the bare foothills of Uzbekistan into blossoming pistachio oases!
Plant more pistachios and everyone will be happy!
