The Global Environment Facility's Small Grants Program (GEF SGP) remains one of the main platforms/sources for obtaining financial grant assistance for environmental activities of the non-governmental sector in Uzbekistan. We have done and are doing wonderful projects to show how the best and innovative technologies can improve the environmental situation in our country.
But we need to remind people from time to time how we work, how to contact us, what our principles and criteria for work are. It is for these purposes that the GEF SGP in Uzbekistan, with the direct support and assistance of the Volunteer Association of Uzbekistan, is organizing a number of meetings in the near future.
The next meetings will be held in Tashkent, Samarkand and Namangan on:
November 28, 2024 – in the Palace of Youth Creativity, Tashkent
December 5, 2024 – in the building of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, Samarkand, Mirzo Ulugbek St., 77.
December 12, 2024 – in the Youth Center, Namangan, Namangan, Alisher Navoi St., 29
It is not for nothing that we hold meetings in the Youth Palaces. We really hope that the most active part of our society - the youth, will be very active here. And this is exactly why we are partnering with the Volunteer Association of Uzbekistan. Immediately after the presentation of the principles of the GEF SGP, the youth will work out possible ideas. We will have an ideathon.
But the invitation is open to absolutely everyone. We invite all interested parties to attend one of the specified meetings and listen to how the GEF SGP gives grants, on what terms, to whom, how much, what criteria are presented and what exactly the grants are given for. The registration link is here.
The first meeting will be held in Tashkent
Below is the meeting program for Tashkent. For Namangan and Samarkand, the programs will be posted on the GEF SGP telegram channel.
