We bring to your attention the publication of our colleagues from Kazakhstan GEF SGP Kazakhstan, kindly provided for posting on our website.

This brochure was prepared as a result of the project "Autumn and early spring irrigation of fields and pastures as an adaptation mechanism for the rational use of water resources in South Kazakhstan ("Autumn Watering"), implemented within the framework of the UNDP GEF Program for Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (ACCM) in Kazakhstan .

The brochure reflects the experience of the local community adapting to the increasing aridity of the climate through the introduction of water recharge irrigation, the creation of sown pastures and the production of roughage for the development of sustainable animal husbandry.

The manual can also be useful for farmers and rural residents of Uzbekistan engaged in the production of livestock products in desert zones and other areas with similar natural and climatic conditions, including agricultural consultants and specialists.
