The 2012-2013 academic year has been declared the Year of Ecology at Toytepa Secondary School No. 1.
Humanity is evolving rapidly. We have taken a big step in the field of high technology, we have made a lot of scientific discoveries. Every day we invent more and more powerful gadgets to create maximum comfort for living. With the help of telescopes, we have learned to see millions of light-years away from ourselves, but we don’t even want to look around. We explore other planets in search of new life, spending a lot of money and energy on it, but not thinking much about how to save our homeland. We have experienced the “end of the world” predicted by the great Maya, and hope that next time all will be well. Mankind shouts about environmental problems, but rarely talks about it. But there are still people like that. At Secondary School No. 1 in Toy-Tepa, Tashkent Region, young activists are taking small but sure steps to save the planet.

We don’t do anything on a global scale, just every day, each of us takes a little courage. For several years now, under the warm spring sun, we have been celebrating a big holiday - Ecology Day. The 2012-2013 school year has been declared the Year of Ecology at our school. There was a huge opening in September. Fifth- and ninth-grade agitation teams performed with their programs, and the youngest members of the large school family supported them with their fiery dances.

For half a year we have been holding various drawing competitions, posters, intellectual games, open lessons. On the first day of February we had another interesting event with the support of our old friends SGP GEF and personally Alexei Volkov. The celebration was dedicated to a very unusual “Salt and Water” theme. And that’s why we came. Among other things, our guys are very creative. And the tasks for them were extraordinary. We have gathered a lot of interesting facts about salt and water and learned that salt is used in watercolor paints, for example. Helps artists highlight colors and even correct mistakes with it.

We found out that each Tashkent resident consumes an average of 300 liters of water per day for household needs. Yes, that number is really a bit surprising. For brushing and rinsing teeth - 80 liters, for cooking and washing dishes - 60 liters, for cleaning the apartment - 40 liters, for washing the toilet up to 100 liters and we drink only 2 liters of water per day. And surprisingly, we spend only 2 percent of that 300 liters on vital needs. And we got advice on how to reduce such huge costs. But for this we only need to open the taps at full power, because we need a flow of 0.5 cm thickness instead of the usual 1.5.
We crafted from salt dough and you know, the results exceeded all our expectations. Sultanova Malika - A 7th grade student made an entire aquarium out of salt dough and placed small colored fish and other sea creatures there. And then there were turtles, lizards, butterflies in the flower meadows.
Then the guys make statues out of salt. And in this race, they didn’t disappoint. The frame was made of scrap materials that shaped the statue. Then the children poured him a strong saline solution every day. The salt crystallized and the layer grew, after which more layers formed. The statues were different, they did what they imagined. Kang Maria created an active volcano, which turned out to be excellent. The salt crystals resembled rocky structures, and lava erupted from its holes. Everyone was very sick with this job. I remember that the same 7th graders, Ivanov Robert and Mirzaeva Shakhnoza, made a salty statue of a starfish and were very worried that the salt layer was growing too slowly and that they would not arrive on time. But the guys turned out to be a starfish with a bang.
The “Beauty of Water” contest has become a real test for our beauties, as the jury has to choose not only flowing dresses, but also the girls ’graceful walk on the“ podium ”, their flexibility, lightness, delicacy, the tremendous energy of the water. rated.

To this day, many scientists claim that salt is a poison. Or minerals that are good for the body. That is why our activists gave each other different arguments. 7th graders demonstrated a chemical experiment - the evaporation of salt from water. And 7b graders announced filters to purify water in a competition for the best advertising about water. We did radio broadcasts in which we talked about the problems of those around us, how we used the resources of our planet without thinking, and for our compassion.we talked about the punishment of zlarcha. Class 8 "a" has prepared a complete photo album about the disaster zones in our area, small eco-disasters. And, of course, according to good tradition, everything ended with the mass dances that the children prepared for us.
Every member of our family is involved in this great and useful work - protecting the environment. So that our generations can see this world as we see it and even better. We have such youth, you say ...
And here the project participants themselves say.
Akbarov Khojiakbar - 5 "a" class student:
- All classes were seriously preparing for the competition, but it is very sad that someone was not the first. We finished second, but I'm sure we will win next time.
- How did you prepare for these competitions?
- I learned poems about nature, got interesting materials for radio communication.
- What do you want to add or change to the project program?
- I really liked the gifts, but it is a pity that the teachers were left without a prize, because they helped us in preparation, they were very worried about us. At the end of the competition, I gave flowers to all the teachers.
Pak Victoria - 5th grade student:
- It was very interesting and fun. And most importantly, not everyone was upset - everyone received a gift. I would like to offer another choice, a choice for captains.
- Do you want this project to continue?
- I would like to, very much. I liked it so much, it was so much fun, and then I was the happiest in the world.

Nozima Kadyrkhanova - 9th grade student:
- I really liked the competition. I liked that the guys worked as a team.
- Do you want this project to continue?
- Yes!
