How to teach children not to litter (modern story)

This is a parable that all adults need to know and disseminate as widely as possible.

When my son was seven years old, and as a small family we were driving somewhere out of town, drove to a gas station, bought ice cream and go, we have fun: summer, heat, ice cream, wife, son, grace ...

Then my son opens the window and throws out the wrapper. The speed of the car was low, and I was able to orient myself very quickly and park the car on the side of the road.

He silently got out of the car, opened the trunk, freed one of Ashanov's bags of food, took his son out of the car and asked him to collect all the garbage from the side of the road. The son has pride, and his wife also tried to intercede ...

But the woman was sent to the car to listen to music, and explained to my son that until he brings me a full package of garbage, we will not go further, and accordingly all the "goodies" we promised will be gone.

The son, at first with tears, and then with some kind of passion in his eyes, went to collect the trash. I took the second package and walked alongside.

In less than half an hour, we cleared a small section of the road from the traces of the vital activity of our people and returned to the car.

Then I explained to my son why he went to collect garbage - because this is his Motherland, and the Motherland is worth loving! He spoke a lot, tediously (as my wife thinks), with examples, but so that he would understand.

And at the end, the son asked:

- Why did you go to collect for me?

- The fact that you threw the wrapper out the window is, first of all, my mistake. I missed something in your upbringing, and therefore had to be punished along with you.

Soon my son will be 13 years old, he has two little sisters, and yesterday I watched with pleasure as he teaches them not to litter ...

Thanks to my father - his wisdom in life during our upbringing helps me so much to teach my own people correctly :)
