The climate is changing. Everyone should have noticed it. Even without statistics data. But this year the nature is gracious - rainfalls are quite heavy. Even more than usual. Recently there was a remark in the news that so much rain haven’t fallen in one month in Tashkent, for example, for 30 years. Incidentally, these also are impacts of climate change – heavy precipitations falling within a short period of time. But now let’s talk about other things.
The land is filling with moisture. And desert also is filling with moisture. Now it is an ideal time to help the desert to rebirth. Exactly now it is a time for planting. We have already shared with our friends at Facebook about the on-going initiative of Ecocenter Djeyran - "Plant saxaul". Now we want to remind about it again.

We were coming back from our trip to Surkhandarya (read about a good pump and a new project). Before that we had reached an agreement with Gijduvan forestry about purchasing of planting material for another project. We purchase seeds and seedlings of saxaul there. We managed to save a small amount of money and also were able to buy 2 tons of seed for Ecocenter Djeyran. If you remember, within the framework of our project we managed to add a new territory. But new areas are degraded. They are exhausted by the heavy pressure of excessive amounts of livestock. It needs to be restored.

Now it is the perfect time to help the desert to start recovering. The ecocenter employees have already started the work on the plantations. The planting material is also available. But there is not enough manpower to plant. We need people. That's why Ecocenter appeals to you. Please come, plant with Ecocenter. Help the desert. We still have time for planting. We also took part a little in the planting. You can see how planting of the seeds was held on the photos below. We were able to plant only 200 kg. Though there are 2 tons available. And there's a lot of seedlings. Come and help the desert. You will get lots and lots of thanks from all - nature, people, animals, birds....
