This publication is a study carried out by FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Research in the Drylands) as a joint effort. The publication mainly contains information about conservation agriculture, which is being introduced in Central Asia. The publication contains the following: the current situation regarding the PP, the problems of implementation, the conditions necessary for the promotion of technology, etc.

The publication introduces readers to conservation agriculture (CA) in Central Asia. Conservation agriculture is similar to the natural mechanisms of agriculture. It not only promotes productivity, but also helps in keeping the soil healthy and nutritious. With these benefits, PA can play an important role in agriculture in Central Asia, where we have dry lands that are deficient in water and soil biological organisms.
