This week (17-18 September) the first pilot training for the journalists of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media (NAEMM) on priority work areas of GEF will be held.
Within the framework of the joint project of the NAEMM and GEF SGP, a series of instructional materials is being prepared, which will improve the level of the journalists’ education of the NAEMM on global issues of preservation of the environment. The instructional materials are being prepared by the specialists on three priority work areas of GEF: climate change, preservation of biodiversity, and fight with the land degradation. The first draft versions both for training participants and for the trainers have been already prepared, who later will be able to hold trainings themselves using the developed materials.
On Tuesday, on the 15th September the first training was held for the young trainers of Youth Environmental Network where methodological materials were presented and first comments were received.
Afterwards, a series of trainings for the NAEMM journalists will be held according to the developed materials throghout the whole country. Conditionally saying, this week training would be a “pilot” where prepared materials would be tested. After the trainings are held in the provinces of the country, all materials will be available publicly for anyone who is interested. Indeed, these materials could be a wonderful workbook for any audience which wants to know more about global problems in the sphere of environment preservation.
The materials can be found on our website. Just keep watching our announces.
