Trout - "Royal fish" for every table!
What do we know about trout and what is it like? What needs to be done to make this delicacy more accessible?
Many have heard of trout, and even fewer have tried it. This is an indisputable fact.
Trout is an amazing fish, the main distinguishing feature of which is its ability to live only in clean and mostly cool waters, and therefore the quality of the fish that people eat is guaranteed to be high. This representative of the salmon family, due to its high degree of adaptability, is found in cool lakes, mountain streams and in the oceans. In Uzbekistan, golden or brook trout is found, which lives in cool mountain lakes and streams. Under artificial conditions, rainbow trout, native to North America, is now being produced in Uzbekistan, which grows faster than the brook trout. And therefore, this time we will talk about trout not as a species, but as a product.
Speaking of trout as a product, it should be noted that this is an exquisite delicacy with excellent taste. The benefits of trout for the human body are extremely high. Therefore, this representative of the salmon family has found wide application in the kitchen in all corners of the planet.
Trout has an amazing composition rich in vitamins and minerals. It contains a huge amount of the famous Omega-3 fatty acid, as well as many different vitamins, iodine, zinc, phosphorus, potassium, etc. Trout is very useful, it improves brain function, calms the nervous system, reduces the likelihood of atherosclerosis, improves human performance, and also eliminates the feeling of lethargy and fatigue. Omega-3 acid helps to reduce the amount of bad cholesterol in the blood.
Trout, like any other fish, is the most valuable gift of nature, which is very rarely found in the grocery basket of our average buyer. So what needs to be done so that the population has more opportunities to consume this valuable product? There is only one way out - Aquaculture or, in other words, artificial breeding of fish.
What do I need to do? To begin with, you need to make a firm decision, have good financial opportunities and find a competent and experienced mentor. In this case, without a mentor, you can’t even catch fish from the pond!
Commercial trout in a fish pond
Among the best practices promoted by the GEF SGP in Uzbekistan, trout farming technology occupies a large place. Fish is the most valuable product, which is still a deficit in the nutrition of the population of Uzbekistan. Fish farming is a sustainable and highly profitable business. By supporting the development of artificial fish farming in the country's farms, we will help relieve the pressure on natural fish populations and preserve their species diversity in the natural environment.
In order to involve farmers in the profitable business of fish farming, disseminate knowledge and experience in breeding trout in artificial conditions, the GEF SGP with the support of UNDP in Uzbekistan, together with the Institute of the Flora and Animal Gene Pool of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, plans to organize and conduct an open training in Tashkent on the benefits of trout farming. farms on the topic "Trout breeding - a promising type of business for farmers in Uzbekistan."
