Last week, the PMGEF decided to support the initiative of the Youth Ecological Network of Uzbekistan to implement the project "10.10.10". The purpose of the project is to draw the attention of the population to the problem of climate change and dissemination of energy saving ideas in Tashkent.

Within the framework of the international movement "350.org" an information campaign "10.10.10" devoted to the problem of climate change will be held.

At 10 o'clock on October 10, 2010, in the city park named after Gafur Gulyam - one of the most visited places in the city of Tashkent - a number of exciting events will begin as part of the global campaign. By participating in them, you will be able to learn more about the problem of climate change and how you can personally contribute to solve it.

All organizers of the action invite everyone to take part in this interesting and important event in Tashkent!

You are expected:

• Master classes on energy saving. You will be able to get acquainted with technologies that help save energy in everyday life. You will also have a unique opportunity to practice different ways of home insulation.

• Workshops on small scale alternative and energy efficient technologies. You can assemble a solar oven with your own hands and try to cook something in it yourself.

• Exhibition of companies promoting energy-saving technologies in Uzbekistan. Perhaps, it is here that you will find what you have been looking for for a long time: information about energy-saving installations, about technologies available in Uzbekistan, the possibilities of acquiring and installing them.

• SPARE corner. Teachers, schoolchildren, as well as their parents will be able to learn about the new and up-to-date School Program on resource and energy saving, which starts this year in several schools in Uzbekistan. It will also demonstrate how to save energy and heat both at home and at school.

• Master class on planting trees. Trees are a natural sink of carbon dioxide, and planting them will already be a practical contribution to climate conservation. You will be able to plant a tree with your own hands and learn a lot of useful information about which trees are best to plant and how to care for them.

• Quizzes on environmental topics, in which you can test your knowledge, fill in the gaps in them and win memorable prizes:

• Ecocatamaran. You will have the opportunity to ride on a water taxi, combining a pleasant walk with mind training.

• Corner of questions and answers. Here you will learn a lot about climate change and will be able to test your knowledge.

• "My own game". A game for people with excellent reactions!

• "Merry 10.10.10" - events for children. We promise that it will be an unforgettable and exciting attraction! We invite all our young participants to visit:

• Cheerful quiz visiting a penguin;

• "Garden of Practical Ideas" - interesting workshops on alternative technologies;

• Showing exciting videos. Here you can enjoy watching funny cartoons, great social videos and vivid fragments of the best climate change documentaries.

• Volunteer's corner. Here you can finally find out where you can put all your energy and where you can implement all your creative ideas. A variety of organizations, youth movements and environmental projects will tell you how you can spend your free time with interest for yourself and for the benefit of nature.

Inviting the media to participate in the action will make it possible to widely highlight the problem of climate change throughout the country.

We hope that this campaign will make people think again about how we consume energy, draw public attention to the issue of climate change, convince everyone that everyone can contribute to solving the problem and show them how to do it.

All activities included in the campaign program take into account for whom all this is being done: for children - some contests and tasks, for students and adult visitors to the park - others.
