Within the framework of the Celebration of the World Environment Day which we have already discussed, we also showed films about the nature and problems of climate change for all those who were interested. Admission was free for everyone. Below you can introduce with the program of the films we showed on that day.

9:00-10:40 am
A documentary film “6 degrees could change the world tells us about what will happen with our planet, if the average temperature rises by 1,2… 6 degrees. Data are based on the observation made during many years and on predictions of the scientists around the world. The duration is 1 hour and 35 minutes.
10:45-11:30 am
A broadcast “Planet Mechanics” by BBC which describes the steps of making a solar oven of parabolic type. The duration is 45 minutes.
11:35-13:05 pm
A documentary film “Home: a rendezvous with a planet”. The audience is suggested to look on the planet with a bird’s eye. You can see amazing landscapes and reserve places from different corners of the world. As a parallel with the greatness and the beauty of the nature, the audience could see the consequences of the human life being (lack of resources, climate change, degradation of the lands, extermination of the animals etc.), that need an immediate respond from our side. The duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
13:10-13:35 pm
An animation clip “The story of stuff”. In this movie the audience can watch a cycle, very simple and easy to understand, which is made by products consumed by the mankind, starting from the development of resources and its subsequent “warehousing” in the numerous dumps. Also, there is an explanation of why it is happening and to whom it is beneficial. The duration is 22 minutes.
13:40-15:10 pm
A documentary film “The age of Stupid”. It is a fantastical movie about the future of the planet when the mankind hasn’t practically remained because of different global natural cataclysms which we (people of the 21st century) could have prevented but unfortunately we didn’t… The duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
15:15-15:40 pm
A short documentary film “Wastes”. We consume more and more and wastes are gathered in the dumps more and intensively. What it could lead to and what will future archeologists learn about our generation? The duration is 25 minutes.
15:45-17:20 pm
A documentary film “An Inconvenient Truth”. What is happening today with our planet and climate? How could it threaten the economy, technical progress and the mankind in whole? Why don’t we make attempts to improve the situation? There the audience can see the vivid graphs and calculations, observations and predictions of the scientists. The duration is 1 hour and 35 minutes.
17:25-19:00 pm
A cartoon “Valli”. It is a fantastical cartoon about a robot named Valli which lives on the Earth planet among the tons of garbage for many decades. There is no mankind as well as plants and animals… The duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The films were shown in the hall near the exhibition.
