The last accords of the concert have died down, the night has descended in Tashkent city and as it is said in a song, the day “has been gradually flowing into the past”.

So, what has remained from this day? You can already find a whole number of remarks that we shouldn’t have celebrated this holiday that we would better do something useful instead. One well-known woman wrote to me that it would be better if we helped the ecocenter in purchasing fodder for which we had called ourselves. I can both agree and disagree with this statement. It could be said that we started preparations for this event nearly 3 months ago, while the problem of fodder in the ecocenter appeared suddenly and not so long ago. But this is not the point. I cannot agree with the statements of many people that we do not need this celebration and show, that it is better to do something concrete. Probably, I am not right and there is some sense in their statements that the holiday is not necessary. Maybe. I just want to say that our programme is doing a lot of useful work as it is. We were created for doing something useful for the nature. And I think we have succeeded in a lot of things.

5th June was announced exactly for this purpose - for sharing information with others about what is currently happening with the nature, what problems we have, what is being done in our country for improving the situation. Despite of the seeming uselessness of this event, the implication of this day is great. I do believe that at least one person will reconsider his/her view about how he/she uses the blessings of nature. A butterfly effect is working here too: somebody will begin turning off the light and closing the tap and probably the saved energy or a drop of water could help to continue life in some place of the planet. It also could be our mountains or any distant settlement in other province; it also could be a preserved species which depends on the water. The nature is a big and tender network where each part depends directly on the other one and the other one, in its turn, depends on the third one, etc. Therefore, every insignificant action can help if everyone would do it. For this purpose you should explain everything to people. And there are a lot of opportunities for doing this, including such celebrations.

And just as for human beings, this day was wonderful holiday and brought a lot of joy to people. I am almost sure of this.
I would like to start a discussion with this message, so that people could express for or against such events in the future. We should understand what is necessary for people and should we continue this kind of celebrations in the future if people do not like it. We also suggest a photoshoot of the celebration for your consideration.
